#DidYouKnow: Originally housed in Memorial Hall, Boyden Library welcomed it’s first patrons on Jannuary 31, 1871? Construction of a new 20,833 square-foot library on Bird Street began in 1967. The new Boyden Library opened to the public on November 2, 1968, and held 14,000 volumes. An expansion and renovation project began in January 2012 and the library was temporarily housed at Chestnut Green. The newest library building improvement project expanded Boyden Library to three floors encompassing about 34,000 square feet.
