From @FoxboroughDPW: Water Flushing in Foxborough Will Be Happening Monday to Friday (8:00 p.m. – 4:00 a.m.)

From @FoxboroughDPW/#TownOfFOxboroughDPW: “Beginning Monday October 19, 2020, required (per DEP) flushing for water  quality maintenance will take place Monday through Friday, from 8:00 p.m. to 4:00 a.m., weather permitting.

Flushing will begin at Oak Street, from Kerr Road to Cocasset Street, and then continue on Cocasset Street to East Belcher Road, and will include all side streets off of these roads. The entire Cannon Forge Development will be next.

Weather and time permitting, flushing will continue on Mechanic Street, from the Sharon town line to the Town Common, followed by Chestnut Street, from Mechanic Street to Neponset Avenue, including all side streets.

 

Please look for the flushing signs in your neighborhood – this will indicate
that flushing in the area is imminent.

This process is critical to the overall maintenance of our distribution system and is one of the most important practices carried out by the department to maintain high water quality and ensure proper operation of the distribution system.

Residents and businesses are advised that there may be some temporary discoloration of water or loss of pressure. Caution should be used during this time when using filtering systems, washing machines, dishwashers, etc. If you have any questions, please contact the Water Department at (508) 543-1209. ”
