On May 20, 1812, he wed Ruth Hale, daughter of Isaac and Ruth (Jewett) Hale of Newbury, Massachusetts. Ruth Hale Williams was born on March 29, 1788, in Newbury, Massachusetts and died in Providence, Rhode Island on March 7, 1867. Rev. Thomas Williams died on September 29, 1876 in Proviodence, Rhode Island. Rev. & Mrs. Williams are buried in Swan Point Cemetery in Providence, Rhode, Island.** The couple had four sons and three daughters.
One source notes Rev. Williams was dismissed from the Foxborough church in November 1821 and had been serving the Pacific Church in Providence, Rhode Island since July 1821. On January 1, 1823, Rev. Wiliams published a sermon at the dedication of the meeting-house in Foxborough. He was the last living 18th century graduate of an American college.**
