The third Friday of September is the usual observance of “National POW/MIA Recognition Day”. Foxborough’s first observance of the day was held in 2011.
This year, there will be a 24-hour vigil at the Foxborough Senior Center (75 Central Street) beginning at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, September 15, 2023.
At 4:00 p.m., on Saturday, September 16, 2023, there will be a ceremony on the common in downtown Foxborough in tribute to all POW*MIA’s. The ceremony is scheduled to include some elected and appointed officials, a keynote speaker, and more.
