The third Friday of September is the usual observance of “National POW/MIA Recognition Day”. Foxborough’s first observance of the day was held in 2011.

This year, there will be a 24-hour vigil at the Foxborough Common beginning at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 18, 2025, and “

Please join the Town of Foxborough Department of Veterans’ Services for our annual POW/MIA Vigil. Beginning earlier this year, and culminating “with a ceremony on Friday, September 19,” at 11:00 a.m., on the common in downtown Foxborough in tribute to all POW*MIA’s.
